When i putt my location to plan an ipotetical trip from here it starts: Take ferryboat to Civitavecchia, take the road to Rome.,. Like i'm going by feet
I've seen google maps direct people to swim the Atlantic Ocean before.
I think the best is to assume you're in the UK & start a route from there. Also, if you're thinking of the train, then look here www.thetrainline.com/ If you book early enough, you can get seriously good discounts. Only snag is that you have to choose a specific train, so make sure you give enough time between arriving & catching a train.
I did it from London too, steve, but same result: take the to..., turn on right/left direction.. Cripes i can't drive on the wrong side...i need a train or a bus and i don't know nothing about where Kettering is
You all need to go to this festival ya know, it's gonna be an absolute hoot (I wish I could transplant all I know about it into text!!) Three days of fab music, fun events, decent loos and yummy grub. Marvellous!!
Two HUGE headliners to be announced soon. (You're gonna love this!!)
So how about organising car- and hotel- shares? That way, our pals from overseas won't have to worry about such things.
I'd offer to shove you all in the back of The Van but Kettering constabulary might not approve of that and Have Words...
The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
I was thinking to renounce to other plans( warsaw or Prague) and do it at least one day, but beeing totally ignorant about public transportations, Alt fest seemed the more difficult. Plus the fact i couldn't understand how do it using the site and the links made me think it was impossible for me... My bad english does the rest
B13 Essentially i need to know what train station i need to reach from airports, in summer there are flights to Luton, stanstead and gatwick straight from here. So i don't have a clue of what airport is better. After this, i saw some big town like Paris has more than one train station, London? What station is better? Train time to Kettering to make it match with the flight and eventually book the day before arriving and a day after leaving. These are the greatest problems

Gatwick is the wrong side of London (it's South, you need to be North). Stanstead is nearer but I don't think there's an obvious route to Kettering. That leaves Luton which has a connection to Kettering.
OK, you need to get a flight to Luton airport and from there, you can get a train direct to Kettering. From there, the festival has got a shuttle bus running to the festival.
It appears that there are trains every half hour from Luton Airport to Kettering, but that's the Winter timetable: it may change in the summer.
Hope that helps!!
