Hi everyone. I signed up for this with the sad closing of CCC at which I'd been a sporadic poster over the last year.
I'm Dave and 33 years old. My first Cure experience was seeing them win best video at the 1990 Brit Awards for Lullaby. I recorded the show on VHS and watched the Lullaby clip again and again. I then bought the Wish singles and album as they came out, then Disintegration and pretty much worked backwards from there and obviously everything since as it came out.
They were a huge part of my teenage years and I have huge affection for them to this day and look forward to chatting with old & new forum users. I also look foward to the dark album (if we ever see it!) and the Wish remasters. Come on Robert, sort it!
yep, I was 10/11 when I first heard them and was spellbound. My mid teenage years were spent trying to hunt down every Cure album (on tape at first!) I'm not sure what the delay is with releasing stuff like Show and Orange on DVD, bluray or whatever. There are plenty of fans worldwide who would buy them, so its not like they'll lose money on putting them out on formats we can play

That's exactly how I felt...spellbound. Although that might have been something to do with me being 13 and discovering them by seeing the vid for The 13th. RSX in that one is enough to capture the imagination of any 13 year old girl!
I'd take a new album over the DVD re-releases any day of the week.
