Ravenslament, in the other thread you mentioned about Morrissey being sick or something for a long time... Interesting, I was on a great show in Athens, last July, and everything was in place. He was more than alive there...
recently he has been admitted to hospital with double pneumonia following on from a throat condition, Barrett's oesophagus, and anaemia. he has also cancelled upto 21 shows of his north american tour , it seems he not having a very good time at the moment .
Morrissey’s trouble-plagued and oft-postponed North American tour has come to an end as Pitchfork reports the former Smiths singer, citing “medical mishaps,” has decided to pull the plug on the remaining 24 dates of the trek, a good number of which already had been rescheduled not once but twice since originally being set last fall.
Pitchfork reports that the singer’s reps, in a press release issued Friday night, note that Morrissey “has suffered a series of medical mishaps over the past few months including a bleeding ulcer, Barrett’s esophagus and double pneumonia.” Despite his efforts to continue, Moz “has to take a hiatus and will not be able to continue on the rest of the tour.”

The remaining dates of the Morrissey U.S. North American tour have officially been pulled down due to medical reasons. The singer has suffered a series of medical mishaps over the past few months including a bleeding ulcer, Barrett’s esophagus and double pneumonia.
Despite his best efforts to try to continue touring, Morrissey has to take a hiatus and will not be able to continue on the rest of the tour. Morrissey thanks all of his fans for their well wishes and thoughts. Refunds for the remaining shows are available at point of purchase.
Moz’s tour — derailed for a second time while he underwent treatment for a bleeding ulcer and Barrett’s esophagus — resumed Feb. 27 in San Diego following a dust-up over the singer’s booking on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” He performed six concerts before canceling a San Francisco appearance and announcing he had been diagnosed with double pneumonia.
Earlier on the tour, Morrissey postponed 19 concerts after falling ill Jan. 24 on a trek that already had been rescheduled from last fall, when he abruptly canceled the bulk of the dates to return to England to see his sick mother.

looks like he is iller than previous thought
I am sorry indeed, for he was really good in Athens last July.
An impression of sound Then everything is gone Forever
Morrissey has said that he has been 'cautioned' to retire from music, because of his recent health troubles.
Speaking to Mexican radio station Reactor 105.7 – via MSN - the singer said: "I have been cautioned to, but it's difficult for me because it's very ingrained in me."
Morrissey recently cancelled the remainder of his US tour. A statement issued on behalf of the singer cited "medical mishaps" as the reason for the cancellation of the planned shows. Morrissey has been suffering from mounting health issues over the past few months, including Barrett's esophagus, a bleeding ulcer and double pneumonia.
The singer's publicist, Lauren Papapietro, said in a statement: "Despite his best efforts to try to continue touring, Morrissey has to take a hiatus and will not be able to continue on the rest of the tour. Morrissey thanks all of his fans for their well wishes and thoughts."
Speaking to Reactor 105.7, the former frontman of The Smiths said of his hospitalisation:
"I had a very bad time. I had internal bleeding and I was rushed into hospital and I had lost a lot of blood. They tried to patch me together over the following five weeks but it didn't work… I was on lots of IV drips for almost five weeks, and each time it seemed as though I was back to robust health I would decline... I had lost so much blood I had become anaemic, but I'm still receiving ongoing treatment and I am very optimistic now."
He continued: "It almost became absurd the number of things that happened to me, but everything just attacked me at once. The double pneumonia - everything was really a result of the fact I had lost so much blood, so the immune defenses were very, very low and couldn't cope with anything, so therefore the slightest gust of wind and I would have a terrible cold."
I am a huge Smiths fan. I had 2 older brothers, with quite different tastes. One liked Black Flag/Minutemen/Dinosaur Jr/The Damned etc, the other liked A-Ha/Duran Duran/Prefab Sprout etc. Somehow their tastes crossed over in the middle as they both liked The Smiths. As a result, I often heard their songs played in the house as a kid in the late 80s, in fact I'd say they were the first band I recall hearing.
What impressed me about them was their output & work rate - how many albums, singles & b-sides they put out in such a short time together. Bands these days can take 2,3 or even 4 or more (sound familiar?!) years to get an album out. Its not even like they were rushing out any old crap and putting out songs for the sake of it that weren't very good (Guided By Voices anyone?). It was all quality stuff.
Morrissey is set to release a new live DVD, according to reports.
As Pitchfork says, a report on Morrisey-solo.com - which was subsequently confirmed by a representative - reveals that the singer's March 2 concert at Hollywood High School in LA will be released on DVD by Eagle-Vision.
The setlist for the show in question was as follows:
?'Alma Matters' ?'Ouija Board, Ouija Board' 'Irish Blood, English Heart' 'You Have Killed Me' 'November Spawned a Monster' 'Maladjusted' 'You’re The One for Me, Fatty' ?'Still Ill' ?'People Are the Same Everywhere' 'Speedway' ?'That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore' 'To Give (The Reason I Live)' ?'Meat Is Murder' ?'Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want' 'Action Is My Middle Name' ?'Everyday Is Like Sunday' 'I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris' 'Let Me Kiss You' 'The Boy With The Thorn In His Side'

Morrissey to resume touring this summer with concerts set for Mexico, South America
Just two weeks after canceling the remainder of his troubled U.S. tour over his ongoing “medical mishaps,” Morrissey tonight announced plans to resume touring in June and July, with seven concerts planned in Mexico — including a show at the 10,000-seat National Auditorium in Mexico City — followed by performances in Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile.
The former Smiths singer broke the news through his usual venue — fan site True To You — with a short announcement that makes no reference to the health problems that derailed his North American tour. No dates have yet been announced, and the only specific show mentioned is the Mexico City concert, which will conclude the seven-date Mexican run.
Morrissey last toured South America in February 2012.

June and July
Morrissey is scheduled to play shows in seven cities in Mexico in June, rounding-off at the National Auditorium in Mexico City. Morrissey will also appear on two national television shows. The dates in Mexico will be followed by concerts in Brazil, Argentina, Peru and Chile. Details will be announced shortly. Morrissey has declined to take part in two upcoming British television documentaries on the Smiths.
On March 15, after multiple postponements, Morrissey canceled the remainder of his U.S. dates, a trek that was scheduled to have stopped in Atlanta tonight and continued through May 1. The singer’s publicists blamed the cancellations on “a series of medical mishaps over the past few months including a bleeding ulcer, Barrett’s esophagus and double pneumonia.”
Morrissey himself issued a statement, saying, “I hope this isn’t the end, and I hope there will be other chances, minus the heavy burden of illness.”
A week ago, in a radio interview in Mexico, Morrissey said his doctors had “cautioned” him to stop touring: “But it’s difficult for me because, it’s very engrained within me. I know it’s the best of life … when you tour and when you make music and when you sing … There is nothing better. Can you think of anything?”
