hello all !
i got 40 this year, from austria, a cure fan since 1986, and a "die-hard" fan since 1989, when i bought all the cure cd´s
1986 (aged 13) we got a music channel on television, named skychannel, there i first saw boys dont cry, and i loved the song
but didnt noticed, what band the cure was. an older neighbour was a really gothic 1984, and all laughed about him.
in 1987 why cant i be you came out, and the video was very funny, but i loved the song. so i bought my first vinyl, it was 3xkm.
i loved the whole record. i got standing on a beach at christmas, and austrian television was broadcasting a part of the cure in orange on january, 1. 1988. i startet the buy all the records of them. the last one was pornography, and it lasted the longest time, to get into it, and love it ( i had to hear it 5 times).
1990 my first cure concert, was an openair in austria, and since then, i try to get to every concert, if possible.
1991 i startet my own band (the last remedy).
highlights: 1995 glastonbury, 2000 straßburg and 2008 frequency festival austria. (personal thing)
