Bit late adding this BUT at 12.10 EST on Friday 30th August....
I bought 2 x GA tickets for El Paso - Myself + Hubby
It will be Hubby's 2nd Cure concert '29 years' after the first one.
I am so happy! On the tuesday he said that his work travel plans had changed and we could take our holidays early in October and why didn't we go to New Mexico to finish a desert trip we did in Arizona a couple of years ago.
Well, El Paso is not far from Albuqueque and Santa Fe, close to White Sands and Roswell .... So I said "why don't we go to see The Cure"
I have warned him that I may not spend the full 3 hrs with him as I may feel the need to push to the front 'like the old days' !!
Hello all, I'm an E.P. local and longtime cUre fan here. I finally don't have to travel to see them in Phoenix or L.A., yay! It's so great to have them here, but we're all shocked and asking 'why' here?? Not that we're complaining, just never thought it would happen. So yes, wife and I will be there, can't wait. We too will be making our way to the front like crazed teens!
Just got myprinted tickets. Local news stated the following today:
------------------ Concert update: More seats opened up for the Cure Guess El Pasoans have been wanting a Cure.
"Due to overwhelming demand," as promoters of their Oct. 10 show at the Don Haskins Center put it, an unspecified number of restricted view seats have been put on sale.
They are considered to be close to the stage, but are restricted view and "behind the front stage line," according to a release issued this morning.
The newly opened seats are $30 and $40, plus service charges, on sale now at the UTEP Ticket Center, Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com and 800.745.3000.
Also, promoters have announced that $5 from each ticket sold will go to Kids Excel, the local nonprofit that uses dance and movement to promote better health for local children. ---------------------------
It's coming quick, can't wait! To make this a fab week we're hitting Phoenix tonight for Depeche Mode then back home for the Cure... Never thought I'd be saying that.
So back home after the Phoenix DM show, just barely coming off that high and feeling this town's excitement for the Cure is so cool. Am off work and will be at the venue 'very early' being nosy hoping for a chance to 'cure spot'. After reading the setlist for Monterrey MX, would be awesome to get some of the deep rare gems played here!
