Just sitting here remembering my teenage years many moons ago and I remember the thought of The Cure ever splitting up was my worst nightmare. Rob once said in an interview they would never announce they would split up they would just disappear. I wonder if that is what is going to happen now? I really wanted to see them play one last time, hopefully we all get to.
Then the heat disappears and the mirage fades away.
why do some people feel free to ask me (and countless others I’m sure) why I’m childless? In the past, I felt it necessary to respond to that question with a song and dance, but for the past few years I’ve simply responded with ‘because I am’ and nothing more. I think my response is more than sufficient. The end. That’s it. That’s all I’m offering.
Whether I should get lasik eye surgery. I’ve had glasses since I was around 13 (and contacts much much later), so maybe I should pull the trigger and get it done?! Life without glasses seems pretty sweet…

I'd suggest doing some research about the downside then make your decision. Most of the time it goes ok but it can go horribly wrong. That's why they usually only do 1 eye at a time. I wear glasses but don't like to put anything in my eyes such as drops. Why I've never got contacts. Just can't stand the thought of putting them in & taking them out. Lasers would be more nerve wracking than that!

I’ve been on the fence for years and debating with myself whether or not to get it done! And it’s precisely because of the research I’ve done that I haven’t had the surgery yet. I didn’t get contacts until my 30’s, like you I couldn’t stand the idea of putting a foreign object into my eyes! But oh man it’s nice not to bother with glasses! So freeing…

One of the best things I've ever done. Blind as a bat before (could't see the large, digital clock next to the bed kind of blind). Had it done about 17 years ago. I went to a really good doctor, though. No side effects like nighttime halos, or anything. My eyes are changing now that I'm getting old(er), but nothing to do with my distance vision.
The past few days as I've been out and about in the world I've felt a sense of love and compassion towards the people I've seen. Does this mean the end of my life is near?
