Always be better live. New album should mean a cull of the ST and Electric stuff which has been on heavy rotation and a re-introduction of some more varied back catalogue. Bet we never get the promised Dreamtime dates!
actually, I never really liked the live stuff. I always feel that Astbury's voice is much better on studio recordings. He seems to push it more. The live versions alwasy feel inferior to me. Of course, I'd probably feel different if I ever actually saw a live show - I'm just basing this on live recordings I've heard....

Yeah, Ian's definitely a loose cannon live - a lot depends on his mood and he's very 50:50. But the band sound like a garage band, especially in a smaller room. Billy's guitar sound is so big - simple but thick lovely Gubson/Gretsch tones played exactly how you want it

Wasn’t able to score BRMC’s setlist, but snagged The Cult’s. We were on the rail in front of Billy in Pittsburgh Saturday night. He and Ian were in great form… clearly having fun and super grateful. Ian’s voice was excellent, and Billy is Billy f*cking Duffy! Dream lineup having these two bands on the same bill. Worth the drive.
at least Ian has grown his hair long again. It never looked right to me so short. I always have the image in my head of him from the 80's music videos!
