I love this film, the first time I saw it I was about 18 and somewhat 'under the influence' of naughty things and I thought it was the greatest thing ever, I was chuffed to watch it again soon after and discover it was no less awesome without the 'enhancements' I've probably watched this film many more times than is healthy! Years ago me and a friend learned all the Oompa-Loompa songs and dances, we used to do them to entertain people after the pub

excellent - my excuse is that all the kids through the years have loved the film and it also has my favourite food in it
I have watched this film on permanent loop for the last two weeks - my little girl loves it - I loved it when I was wee and I still have a thing for Gene Wilder, I know it's wrong
its brilliant when you can watch something and blame the kids - well thats my excuse , anyway

It is a very trippy film though, especially the bit with the boat - a bit scary (especially the hen thing)...
I am teaching my daughter the Oompa Loompa songs, just for her entertainment, obviously
The songs stay in my head all day.
Has anyone else got a favourite quote or 'bit' from the film?
Mine is when Mr Wonka is playing the musical lock and Mrs Teevee says 'Rachmaninoff'
Don't talk of worlds that never were
The end is all that's ever true

i like the cheer up charlie scene and the way that times have changed when all the girls in the factory are offered a £1 bonus if they find the golden ticket
