I'll be a bit gutted to break my 'seeing The Cure headline Glastonbury' run but even if I had a sniff at a ticket I wouldn't bother... Will enjoy watching the set on the telly and use the money I haven't spent to go to Bucharest!
It'll be ridiculously expensive. Glasto tickets are already £230+ for starters so we are talking £1000 at least on eBay/reselling site for any cure fans who want to go.
Just not worth it to hear the usual 20 songs they always play. Might have been different if they actually recorded some new stuff.

I don’t think you’re even allowed to pass tickets on to anyone else now

I didn't know that. So that will be Robert announcing a show where there's absolutely no chance of any cure fans getting a ticket for it! It's not going to go down well, and festivals is usually the easiest option for touring.
I wonder if they realize this particular festival is going to alienate a lot of Cure fans who would not have normally went to this? This is my guess from what all of you are posting. I know new fans are important to them for their survival I guess but they must never forget the devoted oldies but goodies.

Latitude (UK) has announced its headliners now, there's no other big UK festivals I can think of so I guess that's Glastonbury pretty much nailed on...

I keep going back to the fact the original announcement said 20 festivals "mostly" in Europe in 2019. So far there's South Africa that falls outside Europe, but I do have to wonder about the possibility of the U.S. (how self centered of me, I know)...
Everyone seems so convinced of Glastonbury being the missing slot.
