Picture disc? Honestly, what is the point of making something that is as sonically good as possible & allowing someone to make it a picture disc. Oh, UMG right? *sigh*
As for the Acoustic Hits, we might have a regular edition later. The best way to make people buy it twice...
That's right. & yet another piece of proof that Record Store Day has just become a gimmick.
I wonder if the 'Torn Down' songs will be new remixes from other artists than the band itself. Would have been interesting (for me at least) to have some songs been mixed by Manics or Trent for example. Anyway,i'll be honest would love to be able and get them both releases, you see my wall need some new decoration

That's what it implies in the BBC article: "Speaking in 2012, Smith said the album would feature "our favourite bands remixing Cure songs", with Mogwai among the groups involved."

Yeap,i read about it but according to the link of RSD site you provided,it says :
{More Info:
First time on vinyl for 16 new mixes by Robert Smith. Presented as a 2LP picture disc set in a die-cut gatefold sleeve with a download voucher.}
Anyway,i'm still hoping for some other names to be involved as well.

I wouldn't want Trout Razor anywhere near a The Cure song. He can barely master his own stuff without deliberately trying to make it as loud as possible
Obviously the point, steve , is that anyone wishing to open a Hard Rock Cafe or TGI Friday's franchise down the road will have plenty to work with in terms of wall decorations. Save
It looks an exciting and intriguing selection of songs to remix. There are some of my favourite Cure songs in the list posted at the top. I think it would make a brilliant gig setlist too. Has anyone heard when will these be available for sale to people without thousands in the bank?

My understanding is that these will be official releases in June on standard vinyl.
