Found this Star Wars / The Cure comic strip but it lacks title and artist / author. Anyone?
Aha! Seems to be "Nemi" a/k/a Nemi Montoya, a goth girl character in a strip by a Norwegian, Lisa Myhre. It appears translated into English in the UK in Metro (a free paper). Who knew?
I have not yet found the date/original of the Star Wars / Cure (Friday I'm in Love) strip, but comments indicate it's Nemi inside the Darth Vader costume, "gently" waking her boyfriend.
Excerpt from the Comicvine profile above: "Nemi Montoya is clad in black, possesses a tough and sassy exterior, with an appreciation for alternative music, an addiction to chocolate and a somewhat childlike fascination and curiosity with the world around her. / Nemi is considered a goth... / Music is an important area in Nemi's life, she is a fan of metal, and alternative groups or acts, she is quite fond of Alice Cooper, Laibach, Opeth, The Cure, The Sisters of Mercy, Metallica, Darkthrone, Slayer, Red Harvest, Nicole Blackman, Lamented Souls, Warrior Soul, and Dimmu Borgir (coincidentally Nemi's creator Lise Myhre is married to Dimmu Borgir's former lead frontman)..."

Indie Icons on Vintage music channel UK on at 2305hrs, the write up says celebrating 90's icons including The Smiths, REM, The Cure and Joy division among many others! Pulp is on at the mo x
Cure songs used as a clue just now in 'Only Connect' super brainy UK quiz show. And I got to learn something I never knew before, 'The Hanging Garden' is also the name of an unfinished novel by Patrick White. I thought I knew every Cure literary reference but apparently not! Slapped wrist!

The best thing about this thread is finding out what crap telly everyone's watching .... A Cure question just now on 'Tipping Point', I cannot believe I am publicly admitting to watching this! What can I say, it's hot and I'm tired .... Anyway there was a question 'What 1985 hit for The Cure was also the name of a film starring Hilary Swank?' And the idiot contestant said 'Friday I'm in Love' *facepalm* On another note, I always thought the BDC remix came out in 86, not 85 ???
