-4 here this morning. 'Pop it in Phil' the Postman is still wearing his shorts.
it was -9 this morning here... now just -6, but turned out to beautiful sunny (COLD) day...
Are we one up one upping each other? In that case I want in, it's currently -12 here, but the apparent temperature is -18! Though from her earlier post, I'm going to guess that Danielle probably has me beat!

I don't know where exactly Danielle lives, but for example in Vancouver is +4. Not whole Canada is cold as fork (I used to live there for a while) But yes, I can't compete with your coldness (not meaning personality lol)

I’m located in western Canada, in a province called Manitoba. It’s very cold out today, -21 Celsius and with the wind chill it’s-32. So pretty gosh darn cold.

As western Canada I consider BC and Alberta. Manitoba is more like central Canada, so I'm kinda confused 😄 I know that big plain from Rockies to almost Ontario is very cold in winter.

Geographically, yes Manitoba is considered central Canada, but it terms of social, economic, and political reasons, it is very much part of the west, which includes (BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Central Canada is southern Ontario (Toronto, London, Birmingham etc) and southern Quebec (Montreal, la ville de Quebec, Trois-Rivières, etc).
funny how you should mention the cold, on our first night in a Florida my sister and me practically froze. We were in toques, scarves, mitts and down jackets, and we were still so cold! That east coast humidity chills you right to the bones, whereas here, it’s quite different. Thankfully.

yeah I meant it in terms of geography... I'm not really in the picture of social, political and economy differences in provincies...lol
And btw. you're definitely not a bore 😉 Quite opposite

It’s a HUGE source of contention, west vs central. 3/4 of our population lives in central, but the west is where it’s at. I’m not at all biased.
It's a lovely day in Politcallycorrectville. Woke up to snow (& freezing temps). Then it started raining which turned to sleet. Then snow again on top of the sleet. I did a run to the store & it was really slick. & the snow wusses were out on the roads. I cut my trip short. Picked up some pot roast which should last 2 days. I don't know how many decades it's been since I had pot roast. Saw it & thought it might be ideal freezing day food.
The storm hit in the middle of the night. All bus service in Seattle has been shut down & the airport runways have closed on 1 of the busiest days of the year. The authorities are saying to stay off all roads unless absolutely necessary. Probably going to have a big impact on grocery stores, etc. In other words, things are an ungodly mess. Supposed to start warming up this afternoon. I was supposed to go to a holiday dinner tonight (hour drive each way under normal conditions). I think I will be delivering packages for my little friends Saturday or Sunday instead.
