today was sad day for some our members. we all want to cheer them...
...but me...
...oh meeee...
....when i had those days i usually mix from my collection of CDs a play list i called the Deathmix (stolen the name from a Christian Death ep) and it it was(not in this special order...maybe i still have that old tape somewhere) :

Recent, and pretty depressing, stuff from Amanda F-ing Palmer... (and I wonder if the F word is allowed here when it's a signature of herself...)

By the way, at the other side of her musical spectrum there's a pretty happy song, called "Want It Back' which is the closest I've seen her influenced by The Cure being cheerful.)

I had the best laid plans this side of America...

This is fantastic, M.! I would put pretty the same list and also rounded with This Mortal Coil. TMC was one of the biggest projects ever! And how about Wasteland or Beyond the Pale from The Mission too?

TBH after the first two gems i lost the interest i had in the Mission. Children was lower in athmospheres and in originality in comparison and so the recents albums. there are good songs on them, i admit, but i have never really fallen in love with althought i still listen to them.
Wasteland, in truth, never gave me the same feelings as Wake or Dream On. I would name some different song like Severina or Like a Hurricane, i love them to die, but in those moments they weren't right for my mood

Peter Gabriel "San Jacinto" i think is the best song he did

also "Red Rain" and "In your eyes" and his album "Birdy"

I think a sad song, does not mean a sad melody, we all have differents ideas and personalities and feelings of sadness, so don't worry
