RIP, Max von Sydow, star of one of my favorite movies, The Exorcist. One of a kind...
Death to Ming?
Seriously, though, such an amazing actor. I just got my copy of the Criterion Collection edition of Until the End of the World last week. Will be an especially poignant viewing.
Max Von Sydow. One of a kind. Every role in Bergman’s movies he played is amazing. The Seventh seal, Wild Strawberries, Through a Glass Darkly, Winter Light, Hour of the Wolf, Shame... incredible actor.

Tons of sci-fi classics too - always classy, even in the really pulpy stuff. + he was Liet Kynes in Lynch's Dune.

Indeed. And he also built an AMAZING character in Allen’s Hannah and her Sisters. But for me, he will always be, along with Erland Josephson, the Ingmar Bergman actor and alter ego.
