Albums I've Listened to Today

I forced myself to sit and listen to the entire Trout Mask Replica album. The actual listening to Trout Mask Replica from start to finish was a torturous effort. I came about doing this because I know there are people out there that have done this, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. And more importantly, test myself.

I like Captain Beefheart's Safe As Milk album. And I even added two of the album's songs to a playlist whilst driving in Italy.

I've not liked albums in the past before, but Trout Mask Replica is something else. I've not liked an album, but on second listen it has grown on me. We've probably all done that, right? Trout Mask Replica is a completely different kettle of fish. I can't even begin to put into words how hard it was to listen to the album in  its entirety in the first place. Probably one of the hardest things that I've ever done in my life! 

Has anyone else managed to listen to the album in one sitting? It could be that I'm probably the only person to have ever listened to Trout Mask Replica in full. Those other people that claimed to have listened to it might be just saying it. A typical comment by so-called Trout Mask Replica listeners seems to be things like,  "Yeah, baby! I listened to that album. Do you want to maybe go out for a coffee sometime?" and "I liked the album! I'm a cool guy"
