Vinyl is the most insignificant of our planet’s problems. CD’s manufacturing is also not “green”.
One can have 1000 records on micro-sd card the size of a fingernail with superior quality to vinyl, instead of a sizeable oil product that holds only 20 minutes per side. Cd is not much better. I'm large and cumbersome myself too but at least I'm non-physical!
One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain So hit me with music, hit me with music

Jeez… A micro-sd card that eventually will be probably corrupt and unreadable, if not just old and needed of huge transfers to new devices. I have lost a lot of data on HD disks and old (state of the art once…) computers. But my records all play fine. It’s ok, one can store his/her music as they want. Cards, cds, vinyl, cassettes, 2inch tapes, shellac records, streaming platforms, you name it. You don’t like vinyl? Fine! Don’t buy it. Anyway, what is the discussion here? Sound quality and storage capacity or the destruction of the planet because of evil vinyl plants?

If vinyl was the only way to listen to music, I wouldn't listen to music. Just like I don't listen to cd's anymore. Discussion is about different ways to listen to music and how the released formats don't match the different equipment, different chemistry that people have.
