It’s no wonder our chaps took a day off as they faced a gruelling 687 mile (or 1.1million Loch Ness monsters) journey left a bit & down a bit to Atlanta.
Atlanta world famous for being the epicentre of The Walking Dead.
Somewhat ironically, the home of the CDC is the birthplace of the zombie virus. So the city drafted in seasoned zombie slaughterer, Rick Grimes to tackle the problem & alongside his son Coral.
Armed with spiky weapons, Rick & his militia patrolled the streets and suburbs, dispatching the shambling hoardes for nine seasons until he blew himself up on a bridge.
But the main work was done &, to this day, Atlanta remains pretty much free of zombies & law & order could begin anew.
One of the first acts of legislation passed was subject of heated debate & fierce campaigning until common sense prevailed &, at last, Atlantalopes could put ice cream cones in their back pockets on Sundays without fear of being arrested.
The worrying frequency of finding giraffes tied to telephone poles also led to the practice being outlawed completely. Residents & visitors alike are now required to tie their giraffes to the many designated giraffe tethering posts dotted around the city.
Travelling to the Big Peach -so named as it was softer & fuzzier than New York with a large stone- today will be….would you look at that….nobody. That makes sense as there will be a massive scramble for giraffe parking & nobody wants to end up with a massive fine & a night in a holding cell. But, if they did get lucky, it’d be remiss of them to skip a delicious plate of chicken & waffles & a cool Puffin before heading to the show which we hope will be amazing.
We’re keeping it simple colour-wise today.
