Welcome back for day 2 in San Francisco.
The city is well known for many things among which are their world famous car chases.
Not only that, but long-term resident, Karl shot to fame in John Carpenter’s 1980 box office smash & has since played a minor role in Stephen King’s 2007 production. On the back of these starring roles, Karl has also toured extensively with Leeds goth rockers The Sisters Of Mercy.
But, perhaps more prominent is Silicon Valley. A valley made entirely of silicon. Such is Silicon Valley’s infamy that it is incredibly difficult to paint things in the region due to the high level of contamination from the valley itself -another reason the bridge was never painted- regardless of how much sanding is done first. Although the rise of oil based primer & paint has made this task slightly easier residents usually can’t be bothered.
But, having a good sense of humour, the city kept spirits up by mocking the valley in a highly acclaimed TV show which ran for six seasons between 2014 & 2019.
The City That Knows How, as it’s also known, certainly knows it’s football &, as staunch Crystal Palace fans, regularly lights up the city hall in The Eagles’ iconic red & blue on match days.
However, we’ll be cheering on team The Cure today as swarms of fans head back to the Shoreline for another helping, after having a helping of delicious Cioppino with a large Alcatraz Amber Ale to wash it down. Let’s wish them a great time today.
