Nursing my hand where I was brutally mauled by the angriest pigeon EVER!!

The little git grabbed hold of the skin on my knuckle, clamped his jaws shut and yanked his head round, twisting the skin good and proper.

OUCH!!!

This was after I'd been pecked, bitten, kicked, bitch-slapped and sworn at.

They don't like being tube fed and quite frankly, after having a tube shoved down my own throat a few weeks ago, I can't blame 'em!!

The early bird might get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

They are incredibly strong birds. If you think about how fast and hard those wings flap, translate that into a well-aimed punch and believe me, you know you've been clobbered when one hits you.

Still, it's good to see a wild animal all fight-y, it means they are feeling better!!

On the other end of the scale, I was feeding a baby Robin and bless him, he was so tired, he nodded off perched on my finger!!
