Impressive! So you can do a cover of Cold on your own, cello intro included ;-)
I wish I had such musical dexterity: I can only play a bit of guitar...
On my part, it's mostly gtr & bass, some drums (which I love playing, but can only do it in a rehearsal studio 4h every two weeks or so), some singing, a hint of keys. Recording (24-track) & mixing...
While being here, here's what I shared with Steve yesterday :
"While coming back to Earth after yesterday's evening (i.e. Paris gig), I came up with something & would like to give it a try with some help, if possible.
A while back I wrote & recorded a song which was somewhat driven by my dedication to the music of The Cure. Text is made of Cure titles only (mostly) assembled in a join-the-dots way to make something meaningful. Music is Cure influenced but drawn from memory. One goal of this project was to live the process of creating a song that would sum up what their music meant to me and how it had accompanied me since 1984 or so.
I had the result tested by the engineers at the studio where I'm rehearsing. They're no cureheads but found it catchy & moody, well crafted, so they gave me the feedback I couldn't give to myself. And I even got compliments for the sound of the snare, which is nothing short of a small miracle ;-)
So, I was wondering if there was a place on the forum to share it, not just to receive some tomatoes and open a grocery store in the aftermath, but in order to work out a video for it, with help, skills and input from members of the community, a storytelling based on fans true personal experiences or something around that... A join effort by this community."
And now, with this dedicated forum, it may has found its space.
So, let me know what you think about this little project, if of any interest of course.
If you want to give the song a try, here's a wetransfer link to it, still working.

Feedback appreciated ! (Be harsh if needed, but be fun)
