Live report November 23rd, Sportpaleis, Antwerp BE

We arrive today in another city that is ready for release. Rated as a Gamma + city, Antwerp is all set for the public to use.
One of the main bugs that was ironed out in the Beta version was a giant called Antigoon who had a habit of chopping peoples’ hands off and tossing them into the river Sheldt if they refused to pay to cross the only bridge spanning the river at the time. The net result of this is that many people were left unable to clap at concerts & sporting events.
Developers worked day & night to remove this bug until, one day, a Roman Beta tester decided he’d had enough. Weeks of telling the devs to just build a different bridge fell on deaf ears so he marched over to Antigoon’s toll booth, chopped off the giant’s hand & tossed that into the water enabling the long awaited Gamma release & the launch of the city’s favourite biscuits.
& it had a marked effect on the Belgian Olympic team who, with the home fans now able to clap, won 44 medals at the 1920 summer Olympics including 16 golds.
With two hands now all the rage, the Antwerpenaar were considered the ideal choice for trading and cutting diamonds now that they had the ability to hold the stones & the cutter both at the same time.
With the city fast becoming the centre of the world’s diamond trading & cutting industry the glamour was too much for Franky “Four-Fingers” to ignore, stealing a diamond worth 86 carrots, which is a lot of carrots if you’re a small rabbit, which he then took to Doug “The Head” in London on behalf of Cousin Avi.
But things got all out of hand when Brick Top got involved & Mickey refused to throw the fight which led to Brick Top burning Mickey’s mum’s caravan with her in it & stealing Turkish’s savings.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, something Madonna’s ex was seemingly unable to do, Turkish promised the stolen carrots to Brick Top & enlisted “Bullet Tooth” Tony to kidnap Boris & get the carrots back. But Vinny said the dog ate it. Then the dog stole it off him. Eventually Tommy & Turkish had he carrots extracted from the dog (who had really eaten them) & they arrange to sell it through Avi in the end.
So you see there’s a lot more to Antwerp than train stations & Styrofoam.
& there’ll be a whole lot more this evening when paulwUK , fuchsiagroan , the18th , johndoe , othervoices, slowcure & Mrs slowcure tuck into Carbonade alla Fiamminga complimented by one or two cheeky Duvels before heading down to the Sportpaleis. Let’s wish them a fantastic evening.
