World Cup Sweepstake

I'm sorry to let you know... that I'll always remain the18th ;-)

We've had 6 late entries which now means that the sweepstake will be going ahead.

The draw to decide which teams have been allocated will be made at a champagne fuelled, glitzy, red carpet event this evening.*

The 13 original entrants will allocated with 2 teams each. The 6 late editions - Bob, Ted, Si, Jay, Ree & Rog ("it's Roger not Rog!") will only receive 1 team.

The format of the World Cup is that there are 32 teams divided into 8 groups. The top 2 teams will proceed to the knockout stages until there is an eventual winner.

The self-appointed Draw Master's (me) decision is final....unless my wife tells me otherwise.


* The exact time of the draw & the degree of glitziness will depend on what time we get back from our Friday night big shop at Tesco.

Haha, nice try, but I don't know anything about World Cups and Sweetcakes. Oh wait, does the term 'forfeit' still exist? If not, then the two teams you were so kind to give me have just been arrested for fraud. And if that does not do the job, all players have been abducted by aliens. Good luck!
