Hot off the back of its successful line of home appliances including the highly prized Retro collection and ‘Winchcombe’ 1.5 Bowl Sink (also available in Black Granite) Montpellier felt it needed a change of direction. Something more grandiose and eye catching that guaranteed a place on the map.
The logical next step from dishwashers and tumble dryers was to become a city.
Having found a nice spot in the South Of France in the Occitania region the fledgling city settled down and began to flourish.
The Montpelliérains set about creating the oldest university in the world where none other than Nostradamus started making outlandish prophecies for the future such as the real culprit behind the shooting of JR in Dallas & whether or not there’d be a fifth season of Westworld. Spoiler: There won’t be. & old Nostro, as close friends called him, knew his onions having come from the future himself. Even having the spaceship in Alien named after him when he was still known as Nostromo. But to blend in during the 16th century he changed his name, adding the “damus” to be less conspicuous.
During the 19th century, the locals struck gold after planting wine bushes that thrived in the near all-year sunshine. This brought great wealth until a fungus wiped out the bushes leaving them seeking other forms of income & tourism won out.
Seeing how well Paris was doing in the tripadvisor app, the ever industrious Montpelliérains added their own mini version of the Arc de Triomphe called Porte du Peyrou. Next came the Écusson which was a stylised copy of London’s Carnaby street. &, let’s not forget the House of Flags which famously took over the world record for having the most flags from yesterday’s venue in Lyon.
Moving on from their Clapassade & a couple of Blondes faith , bloodflowers78 , justlikeheaven & lolb will be heading to the venue & we do hope they enjoy a magnificent show.
It’s four colours again today, so we’re all set
