can anyone here help me with a direct link to the dmg for utorrent 2.2.1 (NOT going to oldversion.com or whatever as I can't seem to find the link to the above anywhwere)?

If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
I think since Mac OS Catalina 10.15 (or something) you cannot run 32-bit applications, only 64 bit. Since utorrent doesn't have 64 bit versions, you need some other torrent program. On windows I use qBittorrent, works well with dime, but I'm not a heavy user.

Try Transmission instead
yeah thanks, i've switched to it after failing to be able to install Deluge properly. not a fan of the transmission interface but what are you gonna do?

thanks but that's an exe for Windows, i'm looking for a mac installation file. I wasn't able to find an actual downloadable link for the 2.2.1. .DMG or whatever the Mac OS installation file is called.
When I tried to install Deluge it kept doing a weird thing where it wouldn't install properly, kept creating some sort of version of itself on my desktop that would only allow it to be launched from that, rather than the .app file in the Applications folder.
I gave up trying to work it out. Sometimes Macs are "so easy"... and said easiness makes it too complicated or nonsensical to understand. On the plus side, Reaper works a treat and NO WINDOWS UPDATES BREAKING MY COMPUTER, SOUL AND BRAIN!
I gave up with Deluge and moved onto Transmission which I don't like the look of so much, the interface is a bit bare, but at least it works properly......

I don't think utorrent 2.2.1 even exists for Mac, the download links are shady. The only version for mac is 1.8.7 which doesn't work because of the 32 bit thing, that is if your Mac os is newer than Catalina, which I believe is.
