Hot on the heels of Cure frontman Robert Smith's solo release, Candle Snuff, Lollapalooza organizers can also reveal long time New Order bassist Peter Hook will be re-joining the Indie legends for a one off performance in Chicago. Hook says he is keen to put things right with The Cure after comments in his book. "Unknown Pleasures", had Cure members and fans alike scowling in disbelief as it was inferred The Cure had "sold out" as long ago as 1979 and were "jealous" of Joy Division. Cure band leader Robert Smith was unavailable to comment as he was busy entertaining the press with stories about his longly awaited solo project, Candle Snuff will be the first of a series of solo releases from Smith culminating with an album release in November. Cure bassist, Simon Gallup, seemed eager to confront Hook-asked if he was out to end the animosity between The Cure and Peter Hook, Gallup replied "No, I'm going to chin the twat". Makes for an interesting night in Chicago!.

Incidentally, Hooky's on the radio being interviewed at the moment.
This ^
They could have taken a graceful final bow after Republic and the Reading headline slot in' 93. Since then, it's all been a bit undignified and the tunes have been patchy at best. Seen both Hooky solo and New Order without Hooky. Hooky wins
A little missing me Hooky, but a new album would surely find a way to me.
New Order can F-O as far as I'm concerned. After Low Life, they tanked. Utter dross from then on. I'm sad about that really. I thought they were awesome up to then.
