I’m in the same boat as you @notkristie , expect that I have flight credits that have to be used. Airlines in Canada don’t give cash refunds to Canadian citizens, they only give flight credits. So if I don’t use ‘em I’ll lose ‘em.
Then there’s the whole Covid thing. Thankfully, there’s a lot of time between now and the shows, but still, at some point I’ll have to come up with a quarantine plan should I end up testing positive for Covid. The thought of having to isolate myself in a hotel for 14 days (I hope they’ll drop the isolation period to five days), sounds awful, but I think it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Good thing time is on our side though!

Yes, all of these issues make it so difficult. Weather in October could be pretty cool which could mean better chances of viral infection.
I really long for the days travel was a relative breeze to plan to most places. Can't even imagine that, now.

Ah yes, the good old days. Gosh I miss those! Being stuck in a hotel room subsisting on room service for weeks doesn’t so sound great to me. But at this point, I’m willing to take this chance! But like I said, the huge positive here is that time in on our side. So much can happen between now and then, so here’s hoping covid wouldn’t be such an issue come October.

lioness I haven’t booked my accommodations for Krakow as of yet, do you have any recommendations? I’ve previously stayed in Stare Miasto and Kazimierz, which I liked, but they’re pretty far from the venue. Any thoughts?

Well, definitely Stare Miasto and Kazimierz are the most atmospheric. To be honest, I have no idea what the accomodations issue looks like in the area of the venue but I'll try to check.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
