My husband started watching this and is now on episode 3, which I am also watching. It's so uncomfortable it's like nails on a chalkboard.
Having lived in NM it's also really funny to see in that regard.
Let us know what you think when you finish the series.
Honestly, I'm not likely to finish it. We are discontinuing the streaming service in a couple of weeks and it's only that I've been in the room for a couple of episodes he's been watching.
But I will say that what I've seen is really good. Emma Stone is amazing.
I love this movie! Quotes from it have become a part of my family's lexicon. Also, is there a better end credits theme?
And I'm still patiently waiting for Buckaroo Banzai Against The World Crime League to come along and hopefully explain why there is a watermelon there.

That's so funny! I remember seeing it in the theater when it came out. My sister was a teenager and let me come along when she saw it with a friend (I think I was 10?). That was so nice of her.
We have always used language from it, too! There are some gems.
I was looking at the credits this time from a choreographic standpoint. I wonder how many takes they did of the ensemble in how many segments and how they kept the beat? They are walking at quite the clip! Of course, Jeff Goldblum only has to take one step for two of everyone else's.
At the end of the credits, small one asked if The World Crime League had been made...

Mrs. Weedy and I only made it through the first episode... maybe the second one?... before we cut bait and moved on. Just wasn't our cuppa.
I was in the room for episode 5 last night. It's taking a dark turn. I read spoilers a few months ago when everyone was talking about the show, so I have heard how it wraps up. It's intense, that's for sure.

Ripley on Netflix was good. They aged up the characters a bit from the book and previous movie. The black & white cinematography is simply gorgeous, and there are moments that are very evocative of the way Hitchcock would frame shots. Ultimately a satisfying watch.
We started Hijack on Apple TV last night. Oh, man... it's been a tense and engaging watch so far!

Gotta love A24!
It gets very Lynchian (David) as it goes along culminating in the last episode.

I have this week off and what feels like the beginning of a cold (isn't that what always happens?) So binge watching something new is on the menu today. And soup.
So far, I love the quirkiness of the main character...
