TV here has finally started re-running this in original language & I am really liking it. But! They're onto season 2 & up to episode 11 & agent Charlie Francis was in it. He was killed in episode 1 & taken over by a shape shifter who was subsequently killed in episode 4. He's in episode 11 & nobody seems in the least bit concerned.
Two wonderful films from Jules Dassin. The portrait of New York in The Naked City is astonishing. If you are a New Yorker, you can't miss it.
Mr. K had the Criterion app open last night looking for things to put in his queue and I suggested checking this out on your recommendation, gongoro73. It looks like it would go well with some whiskey.

Four episode docuseries. Definitely recommend it. Also recommend not doing any research or reading about it in advance. The story twists and turns in directions that are at times unexpected, infuriating, and fascinating.
The jumping off point is woman who tried to take on the Big Three of Detroit by making a fuel efficient three wheeled car in the middle of the ‘70s oil crisis. But it’s about so much more than that. So, so much more.

I wanted to skip it but what you wrote may change my mind. Thank you.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

So jealous of your Criterion Channel. Can't wait for the day it arrives to Europe. If ever. I worship Criterion.
