Must be said - one of the reasons this album is so good is Lol, who is on top form
You know, I've always thought Lol participated in Cure music much more than he was given credit for but never said it because I thought people would think I'm looney. He AND Porl of course. Writing lyrics and a melody to a song is difficult (I'm working on stuff right now) but the production of it, mixing etc... I think is where it gets made or broken. (and I'm doing that too and may I say if there is a book of the world's worst drummers and there is a photo next to number one it's my photo haha)
Robert is certainly the genius behind the lyrics and melodies but who did all the little bits in between. I would love to know.

Pipperoo I see that you upgraded from your air drums and NO that number 1 belongs to someone else. To be fair, we need to hear what you been working on.

Have you read Lol’s book?
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!

I voted for "Figurehead" (shocking, I know) but I wanted so badly to say "Pornography".
The thing is, for me "Figurehead" is just so meaningful, and when he begins to sing "I will never be clean again" I can relate that to my history of addiction, and it hits me like a sledgehammer every time, and it is just so meaningful to me. But my most pleasant to listen to song on that album is Pornography, I just think it has such a different feel from any song I have ever heard. Just, I have so many memories from "Figurehead" that don't compare to the memories with "Pornography".
So they're both my favorite song from that album, just one is based on experience and one is based on the musical element.
// swimming the same deep water as you is hard //
// nothing left but faith //
// dropping through sky / through the glass of the roof / through the roof of your mouth / through the mouth of your eye / through the eye of the needle / it’s easier for me to get closer to heaven than to ever feel whole again //
