OK. All of us speak English. I think. Do you speak other languages, as well? Do you speak any languages that are perhaps even a little less common? I´ve just thought, YOU might say that I should get a profile on an e-pal website to find people whom to talk to using languages I´m learning but of course I prefer asking and chatting to Cure fans around the globe. Perhaps those of you who are learning a foreign language might find someone else with whom to talk in just that language... That´s what I´d like this thread to be used for.
Me? I speak English, German and Spanish, I understand and love Latin, and I´m learning French, Swedish and Kisuaheli. I used to learn some Dutch and Italian but kind of gave up on that... (Yeah, I like languages...)

I *hope* nobody here would suggest it would be better for you to go on an e-pal website. I wouldn't think we're that kind of lot here, and I wouldn't care to participate in a group where that was the mode of thinking.
I love the fact this is an intl forum. I'm really happy to live in a place where I can go to a different neighborhood and be an absolute minority, although that is changing with gentrification.
Much better to learn a language in the context where the subject matter is of interest and spans a lot of different topics with tons of crazy vocabulary, colloquialisms, etc. This is the perfect place for that.
Me? Very, very lapsed French. I miss it, but there is little time in life to do everything I want to do... Save

English, French, Russian, Italian and this year I've started learning Spanish. I had to take Latin at university but Latin doesn't really count, does it? Nobody really needs it but it IS quite funny to learn.

(and German obviously - after all I am German)
I need Latin to breathe. Besides, I only got to know the person I love via Latin.
