The funniest "handbag" moment I've seen in football, the League Cup Final between Chelsea and the Arsenal Kids, Walcott was fouled or went down a bit easy, Lampard was giving him a mouthful but ran away when Fabregas joined in - I think Fabregas was 12 at the time, Walcott was just 7, Lampard was 72.
If the whole ball needs to be over the line to count as a goal, then the whole ball should be in the corner quadrant to be a bona fide corner Mr Just about any player trying to take the p!ss at corners recently

Ah but it doesn't, strangely it just has to "hang over the line", why nicking a few centimetres at a corner makes so much difference is the big mystery. Mustafi needs to be dropped, far too many errors recently, Holding deserves a chance.

It's a weird rule just on principle. There has been so much noise about goal line technology & I totally get that. To be in the goal, the ball has to have completely crossed the line. I'm fine with that (as is Frank Lampard). But if the ball & the line are the only 2 factors it stands to reason that the ball should be completely in the corner at corners. But, yep. I can't see a few centimetres making a massive difference at a corner. At a goal decision however, it clearly does
I guess, a ball hanging over the line is classed as on the line, same as with a goal. But, for a penalty to be given it has to be inside the 18 yard box, on the line is not a penalty. Corners have their own rule!

With a goal it's different. The ball has to completely cross the line into the net. Just looked up the corner rule which just seems to contradict the crossing the line rule for some reason.
Procedure
Player takes a corner kick When taking a corner kick, the ball is initially placed so that at least some part of the ball is within the corner arc closest to where the ball went out of play. The corner arc is located at the intersection of the goalline and touchline and has a radius of one yard. All defending players must be at least ten yards (9.15 metres) from the corner arc until the corner kick is taken. A corner kick is taken as soon as the ball is kicked and moves.
