*Owners of one of the reaaaaly most whistable songs from recent years, the swedish trio Peter Bjorn and John seem to have show(s) scheduled for the beginning of next month in São Paulo. The band, which ten years ago had one of the world's best-known indie hits, the famous and sticky "Young Folks", should do one or two shows at the Heineken beer brand event, that's the suspicion. The Art of Heineken event, which happens since the beginning of February with an exhibition and shows at the top of the Museum of Contemporary Art of São Paulo, MAC-USP, goes until March 12. In its opening, it housed two good shows of the beautiful Californian band Warpaint.



Peter Bjork and John, from Stockholm, already have seven studio albums. The latest, from last year, is "Breakin' Point", should serve as the basis for the presentations. PB & J have already performed in Brazil in 2008, within the Swedish Invasion project. The group, in São Paulo, made their concert at the late Studio SP, on Augusta Street.



* The English group The Cure is scheduled to play in Brazil in the second half of this year. The legendary band of Robert Smith, who made three packed shows at the Wembley Arena in December, has a new South American tour drawn beginning in June, Popload "learned." The dates of Brazil and the number of shows are still to be defined. Cure's last concert in Brazil was in 2013, when they played in Anhembi for more than three hours and with a setlist of 40 songs.



If Cure's tour escapes to 2018, the band should come close to dates of another veteran post-punk supergroup, Depeche Mode. Ah, the eighties ...

I had a dream this was officially announced... and the Cure's website was updated and much more glamorous...

In my dream they announced 3 months... I can't remember if it was September, October, November or August, September, October. I didn't see locations but I did see the last date in October was the 22nd... I figured that was as close as I was going to get to my birthday and I was trying to find Sang to get her to go to that show... wherever it was...

Needless to say I woke up this morning checking to see if this really was a dream. Sadly, it was.
My dream world is way more fascinating that real life...
