with only ibrahimohimohimvich left with scoring potential i'm about 8 points over the average. defoe's 13 was a godsend and i'm not complaining about chelski's coffee franchise either. i actually watched the chelsk's destroying the arse on tv yesterday- i have no idea why wenger still has a job.
Bit late, but I needed a breather, so here goes a GW24 round up The weekend saw top & bottom of the table clashes & Chelski got their revenge for their earlier defeat to Arsenal in a game that’ll be remembered for a superb solo effort by Hazard & a blatant elbow in Bellerin’s face from Alonso. At the bottom, Palace managed to lose the game in just 45 minutes by 4 Sunderland goals & no, I’m not bitter at all….grrrrrrrrr. Liverpool took a trip to this year’s city of culture & lost to a rejeuvinated Hull side while Southampton made it 2 defeats on the trot despite newbie, Gabbiadini, giving them an early lead against the Hammers. Burnley were reduced to 10 men on 6 minutes with Hendrick picking up a red for his 2 footed aerial ninja death kick & subsequently lost to Watford. Sad Brian Eno’s return to the Hawthorns wasn’t the celebration he wanted as the Baggies won it by a solitary Morrison goal. But the Talking Point™ on Saturday was the Everton v Bournemouth clash at Goodison where, despit signs of Bournemouth pulling off one of their amazing comebacks, Romulan Lucutos weighed in with a hat trick in what turned into a 9 goal thriller. On to Sunday & with Aguero on the bench, Manc Citeh looked to be cruising against Swansea until the 83rd minute when Gylfi cancelled out their lead. But the new saviour, Jesus, nailed the winner right at the death with his 3rd in 2 matches. Of course, this prompted claims that he is better than Pele Finally, Leicester’s season goes from bad to worse, as they were soundly beaten at home by Manc Untidy to leave them 1 point above the relegation zone & leaving the local pizza shop in serious financial difficulty.
In the FPL, The EIB & the BB&S shared the spoils with 617 each which edges the EIB 203 ahead overall Nikolas Vitus Lagartija ’s Damage Dunfermline isn’t letting go of that anytime soon & The is a 2 way split this week, with Artful Villians & BlueHughes ’ Team WMS each netting 88 points. Current standings are:
In the H2H the IGM clawed back a bit of the overall deficit winning with 19 points & closing the overall gap between them & the EIB to just 9 points. The stays put once again with Nikolas Vitus Lagartija ’s Damage Dunfermline, who I hear is planning to have a portrait commissioned for his castle gallery. & the table is thus:
The shed’s had a bit of a superb owl weekend where we have been pondering whether or not Lady Gaga is a Manc Untidy fan. Majority think she just prefers real football But anyway, we ate our body weight in wings & hot sauce while waiting for the commercials to come on & I think I’ll opt for habanero next time rather than ghost chilli. It could be a torrid couple of days, so stand well back & no naked flames okay? Ahem…. Right, that’s all folks. I’ll hand over the joystick to emilystrange for GW25 somewhere far beyond the black horizon at MyHeartland. Thanks everyone for stopping by & for the kind wishes for @mort Now to get ready for the weekend
