I would deffo have the current line up They click so well together & Perry couldn't hold a candle to Reeves in a million years I would probably opt for a KMKMKM sort of vibe, but maybe a bit darker & sleazier. It would need to have some psychedelic touches too & between Robert & Reeves I can't see that being an issue at all.
Frankly I think this current line up would make a truly fantastic album. I would also expect it to sound more like blood flowers than anything else. Here's hoping...
I also adore the current line-up. I thought Reeves was like a breath of fresh air on the tour...I will admit, I was a little nervous back when he first joined the band and they were still finding their legs in terms of how he was interpreting some parts of songs like Fascination Street, but now, it just works for me.
I just want to see any album where It Can Never Be the Same and Step Into the Light (and why not A Boy I Never Knew too) exist. Although some people feel like ICNBTS is a throwback, I actually feel like it's in the new universe of how Robert's been writing for the last few albums. I think Step Into the Light has a very strong 4:13 Dream vibe and I really love that album. And the never released dark flip to 4:13 Dream? If ICNBTS is any indication, new "dark" songs to appear on an album will be sure to please the most persnickety fan Either way, in my dreams any new album would not have to be committed to just light or dark. I'm greedy and want both, please.

Double album with Eno producing please, current line up with whole band submitting demos. If Eno is unavailable then Flood would be my second choice.
Interesting producer choice. For some reason I have a hard time imagining the band working with Eno...too many egos? lol. But I have a dream producer than is even more unimaginable, but I want to happen for some reason-James Murphy. I just love how LCD Soundsystem albums sound, and I think Murphy would appreciate all of the band's influences.
I feel different. I don't want a new album If it's like the last four ones. Don't think they have done a real masterpiece since Disintegration. Wish is close to it, but IMHO, is not. But WMS, Bloodflowers, and the last two are so irregular for a band like them.
So, I would like for them to spend as much time as it takes, and that they deliver a final? masterpiece again. Only perfect songs, I don't care if they are dark, light, blue, or red. I don't want it to resemble any previous album or a certain atmosphere.
This band deserves to close their studio career with a truly masterpiece.
About the line up, I would also like to have Lol back doing whatever (and of course, Boris). But is not going to happen. So, current line up is fine for me as long as the songs are great.

Oh & could they please take a bit of time to think about the cover art. Really not into the daft clown, kiddy scrawl & potato print stuff that's been de riguer .

James Murphy's definitely done some stuff I like, Reflektor is a bit dense for my taste but there are 67 people in that band! The obvious Eno touchpoint is Low (which he didnt actually produce) but I really like the band sound he got for James in the mid-90s. And Flood cos he makes everyone sound great while still sounding like themselves. And he gets noisy guitars sounding special - JAMC, Curve etc.
I really don't want an album like the last two (The Cure & 4:13 Dream)... I couldn't get into them at all, although I do enjoy a few songs from each... I want an album I can listen to from front to back without skipping any songs...
I miss Perry because of what he wrote in the Dream Tour book - one of his 39 favorite things was being in the Cure... So I would love to see him again... I just miss Lol, I really think he paid his dues. I don't know that much about Reeves but he seems a little pretentious to me... lol!!
I really can't believe that there won't be a new album. They were clearly enjoying themselves on the tour and Smith must surely be inclined to take that feelgood factor in to the studio. Things are just set up perfectly right now.
