"Bamonte officially rejoined The Cure in 2022 after 18 years, performing on the first night of the band’s “Lost World Tour” in Riga, Latvia and marking their return to being a six-piece"
Given that it's updated by people who have absolutely no idea, I wouldn't read too much into it.
I'm tempted to edit it and claim Lol is replacing Roger for the rest of the tour
This might sound totally daft, but could it be he’s been drafted in in case of a Covid case, he’d give some kind of back up if presumably roger or reeves went down wouldn’t he! 🤪

Very excellent point G!
It could be, but then why would he be on stage? For example, Eden Gallup is there as back-up for his dad, but it's not like he's on stage with his bass and all... I'm quite confused by all this.
I'm really glad if Perry is back; but from the few clips and photos I've seen, he seems to barely play and was looking kind of out of it.

So the whole thing is kind of strage...
Hello there & welcome to the forum. As it stands there is nothing in the way of any conformation from Mr Smith on Perry. Make of that what you will
We were right in front of Perry and Reeves. Reeves was playing around with Simon throughout the gig. At round the halfway point he started making little encouraging visits over to Perry. But Reeves is a confident chap and you could see Perry was quite tight-lipped and focussing on his parts without joining in with the playing around.
I think he just needs some time to settle in, he was quite business-like in how he approached each part, they're basic but you could see he's focussed on getting them right. It's not like he's got the muscle memory that the others have so I don't think he's quite match fit yet but he'll get there. Roger looked equally isolated on the other side of the stage, a very occasional Simon visit but all the main band interactions are centre-stage (behind Robert!).
I'm more curious about whether he's been part of the recording and there's every chance there's a bunch of stuff we've not heard yet that needs the additional guitar.

I hope you're right and I hope Perry's on the upcoming album and contributing to it.

I was thinking about a comment I or someone made how the 6 piece arrangement might be to allow for a fuller sound to play the KMKMKM songs properly, but at the time of the KMKMKM tour wasn't Roger brought in to fill out the key parts that lol couldn't play? Rather than add another layer he was carrying the weight of all or most of the keyboard duties for the band?
I'm not saying neither Roger or Perry are pulling their weight in this line-up, I'm saying that it's probably that Perry is playing the sixth part in the new songs, and in songs that had a sixth part, in the past. I dunno..
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
Hope my first post can include a question right away ;-) What Cure song do you think Perry is really making THE difference in the song?
His addition has definitely improved Night Like This which sounds more like the 86 version again and FIIL as he's playing a third line from the original studio recording that would normally be left out.

That's what I initially thought, maybe they are just spreading parts now, instead of adding new stuff.
