gongoro73 Finally somebody agrees with e!! It's far superior to Ocean Rain, the first three albums are the best three. I prefer it to Heaven Up Here for its "liveliness", Ian called it "too spiky", that's why I like it. I think it's the one album where everything gelled perfectly, immaculate vocals, guitars, percussion ...... and The Cutter instantly raises it above every other album anyway, my favourite song of all time by any band.

I think all the first 4 albums are excellent and essential. The 2003 re-release of porcupine was altered in sound and is not very good, although it had nice bonus tracks. I made my own playlist of the first 4 albums with extra tracks from the Crystal Days box set and the re-releases, the bulk being the 24bit downloads. And the BBC sessions 1979-1983 download is a must too. I do have a soft spot for Ocean Rain.
One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain So hit me with music, hit me with music
Instrumentals, band demos, alternate versions, rough mixes, ... i.e. all extra deluxe discs of TC. Quite amusing and surprising from titme to time. Hidden gems in there. Also glad some stuff didn't make it. Yet. Imagine that.

I think I have all the albums in 24 Bit, some vinyl rips and the rest are downloads, I do have the BBC Sessions 199-1983 download, my Astell & Kern DAP tells me I have almost 200GB of Bynnymen stuff on it , including Electrafixion and solo stuff...... A lot will be duplicated, but, so what! All of it is also uncompressed so takes up more space. I don't dislike Ocean Rain, I just prefer the first three albums.
