probably my favorite video of all time. hard to believe it's 20 years old. when my dad was dying i was actually staying with him in the hospice & playing music for him. i snuck in some of the tamer flaming lips stuff & he liked it. i snuck this song into his funeral much to the ire of my sister. there were some confused 80 somethings but i think most of them ended up liking it. such a great song.
Picked this up at the show opening for Flaming Lips. It's quite good. They've added another guitar player since this came out. Played a really solid 45 minute set. Micah Nelson is extremely talented.
"But I think there's a God and He hears either way When I rejoice and complain Lift my voice that I was made And somebody's listening at night With the ghosts of my friends when I pray Asking "Why did You let them leave And then make me stay?" When You know my name And all of my hideous mistakes"
