I know it's from a static camera and that would be perfection to me! This way I would thus see the whole show as if i was attending it from the crowd!
A concert filmed and edited the way concerts are by someone else are someone else's point of view (it could be anybody filming, that doesn't change a thing, we've seen plenty of them, that's singer, wide angle, fingers on guitar, lips, camera at 45°, players in the smoke, back on singer's face, while they mostly follow the song rythm). Everytime the camera is pointing at something specific, that means I miss all the other things happening everywhere else on stage at the same time. Often i want to see a drum roll or what someone else is playing, or the close up is too much, or the angle is no interest to me and....
With a static camera, although far from the stage, I'd be my personnal director and able evrytime I watch the film to decide what part of the stage i want to watch, and I'd really enjoy the light-show as bonus, which is something in fact isn't very much possible usually...
And anyway at least we'd have an official '89 concert to get our hands on, that would be great!

Its the same show that made was partially released on the Disintegration mini site as audio, I think. Big bowl type of venue filmed from the back hill, from memory.

Thats the clip I'm thinking of - I'd totally forgotten it was a stadium! Dallas?
Los Angeles Dodgers' stadium. I think, at the time, it was their biggest crowd ever.
I vaguely remember reading that the backstage footage was from Dodger Stadium but the Plainsong bit Giants Stadium. Could be wrong. Would be nice with the full footage static cam or not!
Speaking of filming shows in 1989, didn't Roger say something interesting about that in some interview on the US tour, 91X was it? That they were going to make a film of the last show which was ten days later or something… I might've dreamt it though.
