Yeah. It's superb. That's why I haven't grabbed the one off dime. Unfortunately, I don't think it's in general circulation (yet), so my hands are a bit tied on that count.
your name...like ice into my heart...a shllow grave...a monument to the ruined age...ice in my eyes...and eyes like ice don't move...screaming at the moon...as cold as silence...and you never will say a word...this is my name...and a strange day...ever and ever and ever again......

Aye, that's the one. It's doing the rounds in some trade circles i believe, but not been shared publicly as far as I know.
right, only in trade.
but i think nothing is certain when i see to dime
This is where I get lost. There is now a version already circulating (thanks to a certain person) and now we know other people are still holding back another version of the same show? Why? It doesn't make any sense to me. Surely the guy who released his recording clearly didn't have to do so in the first place, so that was his generosity speaking by providing a recording not a lot of people had.
Are most people in The Cure trading / collecting really greedy with uncirculated stuff?
star123 No they're not greedy. If a taper has made a request, then its only good manners to take note of it. All too often morons ruin perfectly good recordings & turn them into poor quality mp3 sets & post them on awful blogspots like cure for all or sh!tars101 (or worse, youtube) despite tapers asking them perfectly reasonably not to. It's no wonder there is a reluctance to share them in recent years. It pollutes the trade pool & makes it really hard to be sure you get the file set as it was recorded. There are a lot of uncirculated shows & versions of shows & they are either used as "currency" to trade for other uncirculated shows or just kept by the taper. But that's a different conversation really It's the taper's prerogative, so if he/she would rather not unleash a recording, then that's perfectly alright. It'll probably see the light of day sooner or later.

"most"? That's a comment that is probably unable to be quantified. I would say from experience that generally speaking this group is very liberal with sharing, but at the same time taper's wishes are respected.
The "uncirculated stuff" you mention is not just in The Cure trading. I collect and trade many bands' shows and this "RARSWOPONLY" (as some jokingly call it) is evident in all of those trading/sharing circles and I know that it happens in trading circles of bands that I do not collect. Unfortunately, the only things you can do are try to contact the taper to work something out with him or her, or start taping yourself and a) share and share alike to get more stuff out for everyone to enjoy or b) use your recordings to get into the RARSWOPONLY trading circles.
If you have a lead on Brisbane 21 August 1992 - CT version, for the love of Bob, let me know. Please!
