Was walking by the record shop near my place (it’s been around since the 60’s; my mom bought her Beatles albums here) and I saw this beauty in the window.
Love Song cover played by Artur Rojek and Krzysztof Zalewski, two top Polish rock vocalist, during the special concert organized on the 11th Sept. to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the very special Polish venue, Spodek in Katowice. It was a deliberate tribute to The Cure because right here they played their first gig in Poland in 1996. In 2008 they performed here for the second time.
Spodek translates as Saucer because of its shape, of course For me personally it's the most special place on the musical map in Poland. The venue I've been to dozens of times, always amazing, always with concerts incomparable to any others. I'd love so, so much to see The Cure there in 2022 once more. I'm only afraid that they would prefer larger venues, as this one has only 11.000 capacity
And here is the mentioned Love Song cover by A. Rojek & K. Zalewski. I love it because it's very close to the original
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.

So kind of you! So glad that you liked it.
But of course they couldn't take it for the 2022 tour. Aaargh! I'm disappointed a bit...

I switched the TV on just to hear some sounds of Close To Me. It turned out it was a romantic comedy I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007). Never watch this movie 'cause it's horrible but even more horrible thing is that four(!) The Cure songs appeared in there. I'm not delighted because I'd love The Cure tracks to be used only in good movies or at least decent ones.
Anyway, the extracts of Close To Me, Friday I'm In Love, Why Can't I Be You and Lovesong were played during this movie.
