Here is my e-mail to Charles Libin: "Hello. Do You have complete The Cure show from Hurrah 1980? Could You share/sell it? Best regards" "Not releasing entire show... Stay/tuned for more. Thanks!" Maybe he'll share more if You ask for it

He replied? Cool Kind of implies the whole show was filmed. Would still love a confirmation on the date & I think uabf would too so as to update cureconcerts
it's amazing! I think Robert would have to ask "how much" to this people...
It would certainly be cool as part of any possible Anthology release. I actually prefer the footage to the Boston show. It's very dark & very moody, much like Seventeen Seconds.

oh yes!! the Boston gig! I forgot that one! I thought this New York recording it was a better version of that one! I don't remember where I have that Boston recording! My memory is tumbling down I think...
Haha. Excellent. We might see the whole show by March
Fingers crossed ! It's so great to get unseen videos and even more unexpected, an unheard concert of this period in such great quality… I can easily wait until March !!!
Yay that. ^^^^^^^^^^^ In all honesty, this footage is too good to not merit a blu ray or even dvd release with full resolution audio. I'd certainly buy it.

I was asking about the real date and few other things .... Charles told me:
Paul and I shot many bands. Tapes of some had gone missing back then. Thankfully we still have The Cure and a few others... At Hurrah we dodged many a beer bottle with eyes to our cameras (Sid Vicious had attacked Patti Smith's brother on a night there when we were bartenders). It is a bit fuzzy... Generally we would try to shoot the final show of the bands appearances (studying their first night's sets) so I'm guessing we shot the 17th. Sadly I've only a few more Cure films to post.
