My Dad's finally got a smart phone & installed whatsapp. He just video called me via whatsapp. Way better than hangouts. Now to bombard him with photos

That’s super fun news! It’s also nice to hear that your dad is able to download and use apps! On the other hand, my dad was known to type out whole emails in the subject line, and I guarantee he had no idea what a smart phone was, 🙃
Took a virtual flamenco class today for the first time in 30 years. It's a good dance for these times because it involves a lot of stamping and glaring, but the hands are a b!tch.
Spawn is "starting school" today, 3 hours of "virtual learning." I'm laughing at how excited I am that we are now starting this poor excuse for school. I feel like it's such a big deal. God willing, in a little more than a week he'll be able to actually set foot in a physical classroom. I am also excited that I have three hours to myself (sort of) to get sh!t done.
Bit of a result today. Went to the supermarket to pick up a some bread & a 24 pack of beer & went to the self service checkout as usual. Scanned the bread & put it in the bagging area & then scanned the tray of beer. The tray has a barcode on the bottom but there are 2 scanners perpendicular to each other I guess to cater for weird shaped & large stuff. I scanned & plonked it in the bagging area & got the usual "authorisation needed, please wait" alert so the guy manning the checkouts could come & manually confirm I wasn't a school child. But the scanner must have read a barcode on one of the cans. Add to that the guy was so busy chatting to his mate he didn't bother to check what was in the bagging area. So I paid for one can of beer & walked out with 24. Get in!
Happy today because my blood lipid and glucose values were all returned to normal, some even great. 1-2 years of regular exercise and healthy diet has worked it's magic and I don't need any meds to lower the values.
One good thing about music, when it hits you feel no pain So hit me with music, hit me with music

I'm slightly happy because I feel something has changed.
It's not much, for some people nothing really but I feel happy. I ate my dinner sitting for the first time at my new table in the kitchen area. I'm sitting here at the moment and I can see how much space there is in the living room comparing to what it was several hours earlier.
I needed almost 10 months to be ready to change a space around me, to start arranging it the way I want to without the weirdest feeling of guilt. Much work ahead of me but something has changed. I can feel it.
But I don't see And I don't feel But tightly hold up silently My hands before my fading eyes And in my eyes Your smile
I mistook stars reflected in a pond at night for those in the sky.
A few weeks ago I decided that once this virus is under better control, I intend on taking an extended break (think three to six months) to travel! 😁
I hope you manage that. But I wouldn't honestly look earlier than around October the way things stand right now. Fingers crossed for you though & if you make it to central Europe, let me know. Would be happy to meet up for a drink & a bite to eat if you get to Hungary.
