I'm slightly happy today because I have decided on a new hobby and 50th birthday present. I'm going miniature! I'm going to create my own, little goth abode with this I will have more leisure time once I retire in February and this will be perfect. You can take these so far, up to wiring them for light, wallpapering, etc. Everything tiny is so detailed, like this little Halloween cake and ceiling molding.
There is everything you can think of and you can also learn how to make anything.
That is a wonderful craft, you are going to enjoy it a lot. Do you know the Australian miniaturist artist Joshua Smith? Is a master in this discipline. He makes highly detailed, amazing stuff.

SH we just got word the Department of Education wants to settle our case instead of dragging it out to a hearing. This will relieve the stress of having to appear in court and hopefully mean we will not have to pay 2 years of private school tuition out of pocket before we begin to get reimbursed. Nice.

Sounds encouraging. Fingers crossed it all pans out

I never take stuff off the street having had bedbugs over a decade ago but I saw this the other morning and have kept it outside on the balcony to inspect. I’m dismantling to use pieces as miniatures. A timepiece as a wall clock and some of the ropes could make cool things if dyed. Ooooh, a dungeon, lol. Or, ropes for a goth club.
After > 2 months trying to get our father to sign / send in documents approving the release of his military discharge papers so he can (hopefully) receive additional veteran's benefits for his home care costs the agency we're working with told us they finally got the paperwork from him! First he wasn't able to successfully execute the e-signature option, then we went to the snail mail option and he didn't remember to send in both pieces of paperwork, only one, then he went into hospital again so that was another delay.
It makes me so happy to see my friends I’ve known for 40 years. 10 hours of travel for a 3-hour party to celebrate a 50th birthday. I feel very lucky. ❤️
SHT I can walk and move relatively normally after going back to my preferred class last night for the first time since Nov. Sadly, our awesome, German accompanist was missing.
Excited to have signed up for a 6-week intro class for absolute beginners in tap dance. I always “fake tap”, which I’m sure pi$$es off tap dancers as much as when people do fake ballet for ballet dancers.
I need to get a piece of plywood so I can practice in the parking lot. Hmmm, maybe I should get a subway busking permit. 🤔
