Another weekend of goal action hit the premier league for GW14 along with more injury woes for some of the FPL’s top picks.
Pardew’s gang hosted his former club & proceeded to show the Toon Army what they are missing without him in charge & then some
Everton didn’t have a great day at the seaside where Bournemouth rescued a point in the 98th minute, while seemingly permanent bottom dwellers, Villa had an additional 12 minutes to rescue a point & did they? No. Of course they didn’t.
The Foxes managed to stay awake against LVG’s Mogadon UTD where Jamie (pick that one out) Vardy set a new premier league record for goals in consecutive games.
The Normal One had Milner to thank for all 3 points & Sick-Note Sturridge even got a run out & judging by the shift he put in against Southampton last night, he could be on many a FPL manager’s shopping list this weekend.
Big Sam seems to be having an effect now as Sunderland pick up another win & all without the aid of a power point presentation.
Wenger decided to gamble on Sanchez, leaving FPL managers sobbing into their Sunday roasts as he hobbled off after pinging his hamstring.
Elsewhere, prince Harry helped City back to the top of the table, West Brom & Ham shared the spoils & we’re still not sure when the Spurs v Chelsea game was played with the only highlight being Costa’s bib attack.
But back at the main event, GW 14 saw the IGM nick victory by 3 points
The scores on the doors:
IGM 643 - 640 EIB
Giving the IGM an overall lead of +171
All change at the top of the classic league though as @mort’s Nobby Nobbs XI swoops in for the yellow jersey.
iesus’ Meteora Heartland took the Big Shout Out with a thunderous 84
In the H2H, the crown remains with @mort’s Nobby Nobbs XI as they take a 4 point lead in the table.
The scores stand at IGM 222 - EIB 235
Back in the shed, I have regained control of one of the computers that seems to be permanently refreshing eventim’s page. The F5 key has completely worn out!
As the weather gets more wintery, the refreshments stand will be serving traditional mulled wine & (if the experiment works) my special mulled cider recipe. ....hic...
I have also liberated a stash of pencils that Basil had been squirrelling away. It was fairly easy to distract him with the aid of a box & a feathery stick, so this week’s weapon of choice is a pristine Blyertspenna HB=2% (oh yes)
Welcome to GW15 everyone. Let’s be ‘avin’ you
