Ok so accommodations are booked. Staying in the Soho area of London. Rented a flat through Airbnb since it seemed to much cheaper than getting a hotel.
So now my question is how to get to and from Wembley during The Cure shows. Obviously I can take the tube there but does the tube run 24 hours? If not what are good alternative modes of transportation?

There are plans for a night tube to be started, but not sure which lines it will cover (or if the drivers all throw their toys out of the pram & go on strike again). Get a hold of a tube map (easiest is to save one on your phone, but they make nice little souvenirs). They're dead easy to figure out. At a guess, Jubilee & Central lines will be what you want. Check on night bus availability too. Also a good idea to get an Oyster Card. As I understand, night buses don't cary cash & the oyster is about the only way to travel & in any case, you'll avoid queuing for tickets if you have a card. They cost about 3 quid & then you can just add credit direct from your account to them as you need plus they'll debit you the cheapest calculated fare when you tap them on the readers at the tube stations There are special visitor versions that you can order before you travel, but I don't know if they ship overseas.
I think I will let Christopher figure this one out since he wanted to stay so far away from the venue. ???
No worries. If you're familiar with metro systems, it'll fall into place fairly quickly. Someone here closer to that London might have more info on other options too. Usually, if there's a big event, there will be some late services added onto the day's schedule.

Yep Steve is right, buy a travelcard from a tube station or an Oyster Card for however long you're staying. Soho nightlife is brilliant, you have China Town, Wardour Street, Leicester Square, Carnaby Street etc etc ..... there is a brilliant Blues Bar on Kingly Street, behind Carnaby Street, full of comfy old sofas and a real fire, always a live band.
You should be able to get a tube train back into town until about midnight, which will be enough, can't see the concert finishing much after 23:00 with curfews etc.
Still waiting for the Arsenal schedule to come out for December. Crossing my fingers that they play the weekend that we are there!
Thanks for all the info about Soho! It looked like a pretty festive area.
December is next season, tickets go on sale two months before a game but I can help there - season ticket means I can jump the queue if I want more tickets for home games.
The night tube staff dispute has finally been settled so I'm hoping that would be up and running. However, the night tube will only run on Fridays and Saturdays. It will be covering the Jubilee line (which serves Wembley) with trains running into town about every 10 mins. So anyone going into town would have no problem at all.
Worth bearing in mind that the night tube will not run on all lines; only Jubilee, Victoria, some of the Central line, some of the Northern Line and some of the Piccadilly Line.
