Mind you, if Granny dances in Milan I fear the rest of the tour will be cancelled, Robert will be in shock, Simon laughing, Jason doing his homework, Roger looking for cider and Reeves proposing.
Tsk, I'll tell Granny! She doesn't like Robert anyway, if she saw him upclose she'd probably try to do an exorcism on him LOL
Ok I'm already nervous about tomorrow... I wish I could buy another standing ticket, but I really don't think that I could queue for 10 hours for two days straight without fainting or falling asleep

Ha, I'll leave standing tickets to you then ??? Just for this time though! And the first night I'll get the front row, even if it's the last thing I do!
I think it's very hard to say. I mean, Robert is only in his early 50's, it's a bit young for retirement. When they did 4Tour, Robert said that was the last time they'd ever do a world tour and look where we are now.
At the end of the day Robert will do what Robert wants, when Robert wants to do it. He may think it's a farewell world tour right now, but could get itchy feet in another 5 years and want to do it all again. He does what ever feels right for him at any given moment in time. I think it's impossible to say this is 100% the end.

while I agree that smith will do whatever he wants time marches on and there will be a time when they're not going to be up to it. look at the schedule for this tour. it might be ok at 55 but 60? 65? not sure.
You want my opinion? This will be the last Tour of The Cure I think they might add some AUS dates as well some time later,if the band will still exist after the year 2 0 1 6 . . .

It's Robert's world, you just live in it... I think that's been the Cure philosophy for 30+ years.
Lots of musicians are still performing into their old age, but traveling for 60 days has got to be tiring even if you have people putting you up in fancy hotels and driving you around. If they play a 3 hour show that probably translates to an 8+ hour work day if you count sound checks and press and all that other stuff. Different from a blues guy who shows up at the bar with his guitar and drives home after the show :-)
I'm thinking that it will get hard to justify a full tour. Like the albums they're getting further apart.
It would be so perfect if you would just fall out the window
