lost my H2H....a slightly below average GW score but no change in the league. mahrez pipped vardy to back my choice of him as captain. ighalo did ok, as did aldedrirweld. pele gone now and AGUERO is back in the team now. about forking time, things will improve now.
Banging win for the mighty liverpool. and a bit of local pride moves me to say well done leicester : top of the forking league! who'da thunk it? comeonyoublues
That’s a wrap on GW13 & as the Premier League showed its solidarity with France, the goals came fairly thick & fast this weekend with one or two upsets thrown in for good measure.
“The Normal One” took his troops to the Etihad where they swiftly despatched City. Not even a returning Aguero could rescue the sky blues & Sterling spent the game with ears so hot that you could fry an egg on them.
The Gunners, with their perennial injury situation, were taken down a peg at West Brom as Slippy Cazorla spectacularly spooned a penalty leaving FPL managers up & down the land screaming, “Why didn’t you let Sanchez take it?”
Diego Costa was the difference at the Bridge, as Chelski fans achieved a (unofficial) world record for holding their breath. Reports are that he is seeking a new FPL point category for penalty appeals.
Up on Tyneside, another record was reached, as Jamie (injured/ not injured) Vardy hit the spot in his 10th consecutive game to help put the Tinkerman’s Foxes on the top of the heap. Pizzas all round methinks Claudio
The war between DC & Marvel is hotting up over the rights to the Captain Troy Deeney comic books, despite him handing all 3 points to Untidy this weekend. Could we have action figures in the shops before xmas?
Elsewhere, captain Kane’s return to form continues, Villa got gubbed (again), Bojan’s sublime flick sunk the Saints & Villa got gubbed (again).
& in line with the goal-fest this weekend saw, some big point hauls emerged in the FPL battle. But it was the IGM taking the spoils, breaking a 4 week losing streak. Clearly the prospect of a ~60 date world The Cure tour distracted the EIB, leaving the floodgates open for an emphatic victory. The scores as follows:
EIB 595 - 742 IGM Giving a GW differential of + 147 & overall lead of +168 for the IGM
The is making itself at home with Johhnny Rev 7.0’s FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921
This week’s goes deservedly to limur’s Tangerine Team for a whopping 95 points
In the H2H, a shock as @mort’s Nobby Nobbs XI take the from emilystrange’s Darkness AFC leaving her frantically fashioning a paper hat to replace it. The result leaves EIB +9 points ahead of the IGM EIB 217 - 208 IGM
So it’s back to the shed where it seems the EIB have hijacked all the computers in an attempt to nab the best pre sale tickets for next year. It’s a cacophony of clicks in here as websites are refreshed at a frightening rate. Thanks once again for all who joined in & despite the solemn start to the GW, I’ll quote an oft used Smith phrase. “ONWARD!” Now over to the man with the feather for GW14
