The pencil has scrawled & the quill has frantically fanned a room and come to an agreement.
Another frantic GW comes to a close & not too many big surprises coming from the weekend’s matches.
Big Sam’s winning streak of one game came to an abrupt halt as the Toffees gave the Black Cats a proper mauling. On the other side of town, the Toon Army snaffled a point against Stoke to roar up to third from bottom.
Klipp Klopp’s newly invigorated Liverpool took Chelski to task & left the press once again frothing at the mouth for juicy tidbits of non-stories from the visibly troubled Spacial One.
Elsewhere, Manchester United did their level best to put Palace to sleep while Ranieri’s promise of post match pizza for winning has still not been honoured. The Gunners, at the start of their annual injury crisis, managed to continue their impressive form & Igloo undid the Hammers’ defence to bring all three points to Watford.
Aston Villa appointed a new gaffer just ahead of their game with Spuds, but he could only watch from the stands as the toothless Lions lost for a seventh consecutive outing, leaving them firmly at the foot of the table.
Over in Fantasy-land, another hard fought battle was taking place and it was the home team who took the spoils for the third week on the trot The results as follows:
EIB 686 - 616 IGM This makes for a +70 point GW win for EIB & once again whittles the IGM’s overall lead down to +46 points.
But the is not going anywhere just yet, as Johnny Rev 7.0’s FC Bennweg-Zeis 1921 grip tightens on the golden garment once again.
This week’s goes in the direction of Greece & figie’s high town FC who just nicked it with 85 points.
In the H2H, the EIB add pressure (there, I said it ) with a +21 point victory. ??? EIB 190 - 169 IGM.
But the tin snips will have to be sheathed for another week, as emilystrange’s Darkness AFC jam that crown even more firmly on their head.
So, the shed is bracing itself for another bun fight this week & I have been re-fitting the glitter ball above the dance floor…. well, a spare match ball covered in tin foil anyway. So get your dancing trousers on folks
& as we shake a tail feather, the baton is handed back to my quill wielding counterpart ahead of the journey through the cables & the underground for GW12.
Thanks to everyone who dropped by for the weekend & see you all next weekend
went up in all leagues again, joint 2nd highest scorer with Johnny, where's the result-result?
Joint 3rd highest scorer not 2nd. We got a bit of a battering again
You almost pulled it out of the fire on Monday though. I had us 120 up on the week & taking the overall lead. Then Harry Kane happened. So good pick for those of you that did.
