Upsets & unexpected injuries aplenty to deal with coming out of GW5. And standby for a few more as top teams all head into Champion’s league action this week.
So let’s have a recap. Chelski were shocked once more as they were undone by a super-sub & the action didn’t end there with the Spacial One concerned that his lot had to get home before the traffic got bad & that Martinez was hogging the post match press calls.. Presumably not related to the fact that STONES IS NOT FOR SALE……yet. Aguero spent most of the City game with his knee being kept fresh in cling film, as their new signing, Prince Harry, got a run out while neighbours, Manc Untidy, sealed a win over a team that claimed to be Liverpool including a goal from the most expensive teenager in footy. No doubt this will give cause for LVG to rehearse a new song for next week’s press conference. Meanwhile, Watford finally remembered where the goal was & the Riyad Mahrez show continues to stake its claim to second place in the table.
All that aside, the main show piece resulted in another victory for the IGM with the scores thus:
EIB 398 - 487 IGM. That’s a GW differential of +89 & an overall lead of +175
The stays with emilystrange’s Darkness AFC giving her another week to attempt the perilous journey towards the left sleeve in a bid to reach the cuff.
This week’s Award echoes out to iesus’ Meteora Heartland FC for a chunky 76 points.
Meanwhile, in the H2H league, the IGM extend their lead with a 6 point win (EIB 79 - 85 IGM) & yes, once again emilystrange's Darkness AFC tops the H2H table, so here is her special crown.
& so now I shuffle back into the shed to test the restorative properties of cling film on a hangover. That’s if I can wrestle the roll out of Basil’s grip. & if Eva Carneiro’s reading, you still on for Wednesday night’s game on the telly box? If you are can you bring some Doritos?
Once again, well played everyone & thanks for joining in & now I’ll hand over the reigns to the Quill-meister (who incidentally beat me in the H2H this week) for GW6.
