"Thank you for booking tickets for The Cure with The Ticket Factory!
With the shows being just around the corner we thought we would remind you of the following important information to make your visit a lot smoother:
• All customers will need to bring ID (photo ID or proof of address), which matches the name and address printed on The Ticket Factory receipt enclosed with the tickets.
• There will be a lot of people collecting tickets on the event days so we would advise that you arrive early in plenty of time
• Tickets can only be collected by the person who made the original booking, and are available to pick up only on the day of the show
•Letters authorising others to collect tickets on your behalf will not be accepted"
THIS IS A FU**ING SHAME! My 23th ticket was bought in Ticket Factory by a friend! What can I do??

I assume you're collecting the ticket from your friend. I would certainly try to do that. I still can't believe security are going to check tickets & IDs match on the door. That would be totally nuts. Can you imagine what would happen if they turned away hundreds of travelling fans who have also bought tickets via friends etc?

I hope so, God; but I won't be relaxed till I get there... So, if I am lucky enough to collect this ticket, do I need to show "buyer" ID on the door??? My english is turning down... I can't find the words to explain anything...
if anyone could get clear to me, please: 1. Tickets bought in eventim.com, to be collected in box office by the "buyer" the day of the concert. Then, this ticket in my hand. Do I need to show some ID in the door too? 2. Tickets bought in eventim.com could be collected by another person (with an authorisation by the buyer). That's what eventim told to my "another" friend, who got me the Dec 21th ticket. Anyone else have the same info? 3. Could ticket factory have different politic to the same issue?
All the ticket sites will have slightly different policies & their intention is to deter touts. That's all very well & good, but how about the folks that have bought tickets via friends & from others offering spares? Like @god said, "they should have explained the rules before they went on sale" While there was a limit to the number per household, there was never a restriction on who actually rocked up at the Apollo door with one in their clammy little hand. My suggestion would be to also check with the venue. Just explain that you had a friend buy the ticket (perhaps as it was impossible to do from Brazil) & that you're now seeing these conflicting stories of needing ID to match the ticket for entry. I am still of the firm belief this whole ID thing is for those collecting tickets which would make sense, as I guess they don't want to be giving tickets to any old Tom, Dick & Harry
I just email Ticket Factory and Eventim Apollo... I'll wait... I mean: I CAN"T return the flight ticket!! So if you see some drunk argie crying and shouting at the front of the venue, don't let the police carry him, ok? I'm sorry... I can't even smile.. :/
